Protesters on the Berliner Ostermarsch 2022 in Berlin, on April 16, 2022. The tradition of Easter marches in Germany goes back decades. The first Easter march for peace took place in 1960. Several protesters held signs up with stop arming, make love not war, and no weapons for the war. Numerous protesters also criticized the involvement of NATO in the ongoing war in Ukraine. Weapons don’t bring peace, was written on a protester’s banner. Also, some demonstrators called for stability with Russia because there would be no peace without Russia, they claimed.
