Ukrainians fleeing fighting arrive in Poland in record numbers. The people arrive in towns like Medyka, Korczowa, and Przemysl, the first major city to the west of Medyka, the busiest crossing point along the 300-mile Polish-Ukrainian border. Polish people host Ukrainians in their apartments, drive them to places or give them money to cover basic needs. Volunteers across Europe have gathered supplies for Ukrainian refugees.
